About Mor Media Charity

Who we are

Mor Media is a dynamic charity rooted in Cornwall, working at the intersection of storytelling, screen culture and social change. Since 2002, we’ve been using the power of film, media and creative technology to spark ideas, amplify unheard voices, and bring communities together.

We’re best known for the Cornwall Film Festival — but that’s just the beginning. From immersive screenings to youth filmmaking labs, from archive storytelling to environmental projects, we champion creativity as a tool for connection, curiosity and change.

We are a small charity that is achieving a lot. Our work reaches people of all ages and backgrounds, including those who often face barriers to accessing the arts. We’re passionate about levelling the playing field and opening up opportunities — whether that’s through hands-on media training, community-led film projects, or our year-round public programme.

Mor Media brings people together. Whether we’re on screen, on the coast, or in the classroom, we’re here to celebrate stories that matter and help creativity thrive — across Cornwall and beyond.

Our Services

Delivering high quality skill based training to young people and adult learners, we aim to train and inspire content makers to grow in confidence and gain worthwhile transferable skills which can enhance both their professional and personal lives.

Education & Training

Through screenings, festivals and live experiences that spark connection, dialogue and discovery. We use digital media not just to entertain, but to explore culture, society and the rich diversity of modern life through the power of storytelling.

Events

Our community projects in Cornwall work with hard-to-reach groups who face social, cultural or economic exclusion from the richness of media culture with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of communities.

Community programmes

We support people into creative jobs through volunteering, training and mentoring. Our programmes build skills, boost confidence and connect emerging talent with real industry opportunities.

Cornwall Film Festival Secures Three-Year Investment to Champion Accessible Cinema Across Cornwall

UK-based screen charity Mor Media has appointed filmmaker Clare Tavernor as Creative Lead, formalising a long-standing collaboration as the organisation scales its production ambitions.
