Film Programming Masterclass

Anna Navas is an established film programmer at Plymouth Arts Cinema. She has developed a national reputation as a champion of gender equality in the film industry, as an early adopter of The F-Rating and Birds Eye View’s Reclaim the Frame. Hosting regular talks by internationally renowned filmmakers such as director Ben Wheatley, and Oscar winners Roger Deakins and Director of BFI Film Fund of Mia Bays.   Anna believes  "the best way to enjoy film is the shared experience of a visit to the cinema"

The Cornwall Film Festival breaks the most anticipated films of the year, creating a balance, starting a conversation with the audience and drawing attention to lesser-known films.  Our events bring people together and foster connection, engagement and understanding through digital media. We aim to help develop our audience’s understanding of the media, not only as a form of entertainment but as a way of engaging in ideas, dialogue and debate about culture & society,  celebrating the authentic diversity and experiences of modern society.
