Fifteen years of imprisonment, five days of vengeance Â
One of the greatest and most jaw-droppingly shocking movies of all time, Park Chan-wook’s Oldboy turns 20 years old in 2023.   Oldboy follows Oh Dae-su, portrayed by Choi Min-sik as an ordinary businessman and father who finds himself in a far-reaching conspiracy. Oh Dae-su is kidnapped and imprisoned, only to be released 15 years later. The man, now freed, has five days to find out who locked him up and why in this gritty action-revenge feature. This dark, disturbing, and twist-filled film continues as Dae-su begins an intense romance with the young sushi chef Mi-do (Kang Hye-jeong), who takes him in. Featuring relentless brutality alongside a compelling plot and fantastic cinematography, Oldboy serves as the second installment of Park Chan-wook's The Vengence Triology, following Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) and preceding Lady Vengeance (2005) .Â
Winner of the Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix. We are delighted to share this new strand of scary, funny, sexy, controversial and provocative after-dark feature, bite-sized bits for night owls, and the terminally curious for all of your sex, gore, and funny bone cravings. Â Not to be missed Park Chan-Wook's cinematic masterpiece Old Boy.
