Black Tide :
The SS Torrey Canyon Oil Spill

Marking the 60th anniversary of Britain’s worst shipping disaster, Black Tide explores the impact of the 1967 SS Torrey Canyon oil spill off the Cornish coast. Mor Media Charity is gathering stories from those who lived through the environmental catastrophe and the clean-up effort that followed. This project honours the resilience of Cornish communities, raises awareness of the disaster’s long-term effects on people and nature, and connects past and present through a powerful storytelling.

Picturing the Highstreet
visual history project

Mor Media worked with Photoworks and Historic England to invite you to look at the high street as never before. The photos contributed to a photographic archive of the English high street; charting and celebrating the history and experiences of the people and places that make up an often-overlooked fixture in all our lives.
