It is his father's turn to look after him for the day; with Reuben's angry attitude towards his father, both father and son must find a way to get through the day. Virágom, Virágom Anna Járai 10m | UK Virágom, Virágom is an experimental short film inspired by folklore and heritage, focusing on the ‘other’ and its reclamation of folklore. Interwoven with images and soundscapes from the past and present, the film highlights the beauty of craft, whilst re-contextualising traditional folk narratives to show the strength and power of the often forgotten members of folk communities Who's That Riding? Ryan Pollock 12m 34 | UK In a stark tenement flat, Jack, filling in for an absent worker, performs a home visit on Lee, a man struggling with alcoholism. Lee’s days are long and purposeless, and, to some extent, he has accepted his aloneness. Jack, through a combination of inexperience and naivety, doesn’t fully recognise the red flags that Lee demonstrates throughout the visit, but something about it doesn’t sit right with him. And that night, in the early hours, swamped by dark imaginings, he returns to Lee’s flat in an attempt to alleviate his concerns.

Intern Application Form About our Internships We are seeking hard-working and enthusiastic individuals who would like an internship with a thriving film and media organisation. We are a media charity that holds an annual film festival, live events, yearly film screenings and programming, runs industry training, masterclasses and talks, education programmes and community projects. Our internship programme is designed to give you real-life experience across a range of industry roles including production; events management; social media; marketing; design; admin and more! We will give you an opportunity to work across all our organisational strands - festival, industry and events, community, education, and charity to gain valuable experience in varied roles within the creative industry. You may work as a production assistant on one of our live events or online masterclasses; a researcher or content creator for our social media; a designer of digital assets for one of our programmes or an event planner for one of our live events. We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic people who are ready for a challenge and want to try their hand at lots of different roles within the media. Interns will be supported through their time at Mor Media via regular meetings and monitoring via their activity log sheet and development logs. This will also feed into the completion of an Award which will see them complete two units, one will be linked to the creative skills needed to complete work required by the role, and one will be a reflective evaluation on the work they have done during their internship.

Retreating from a world he finds sensorily challenging, he spends all day buried in books, telling himself stories of heroes and epic quests. When a flying football starts a new friendship with sporty Agnes, Thomas initially finds it hard to relate and let her into his world. This distance between them means that Agnes becomes bored with Thomas’ storytelling, forcing Thomas to use his incredible creativity to make new stories for them both. Born in Lyon and raised in Morocco, she studied at La Fémis in Paris, where she met long-time collaborator Gaspar Noé. Her feature debut, Innocence (2004), adapted from Frank Wedekind’s Mine-Haha, won the Best New Director award at San Sebastián and established her as a singular voice in European cinema. Subsequent films Evolution (2015) and Earwig (2021) continued her fascination with dreamlike imagery and mysterious rituals, blending surrealism, body horror, and emotional depth. Hadžihalilović’s work is acclaimed for its meticulous visual composition and its capacity to evoke the uncanny beauty of transformation. Dir. This role involves supporting our Short Film Manager by reviewing the suitability of submissions for consideration. You do not have to be based in the UK to apply, as all the viewing will be done remotely (access to a computer, and a stable internet connection is necessary). Main Duties and Responsibilities On average pre-selectors will view between 5-6 hours of content as we encourage voting from multiple selectors to ensure fairness. CFF receives around 300 submissions on average, but overall hours may increase if we go beyond this total - so some flexibility is encouraged. Viewing, and assisting with the submission process through our festival platform FilmFreeway.Our short film submissions will be from all types of genres but will be no more than 20 minutes in length. Meetings with key festival members, including members of the Awarding Jury (this will help you gain insight into the festival & filmmaking industry). Key Skills/ Traits An understanding of film festival standards and a critical eye. Of course enthusiasm is the most important! Organised and the able to work to deadlines Knowledge and Experience The successful candidate should be able to evidence the following essential criteria: An interested in films, filmmaking, programming, curation & exhibition. Knowledge of FilmFreeway is preferable, but there will be an opportunity for those unfamiliar with FilmFreeway to meet and learn the basics needed to be a preselector for CFF. Internships General Internships We are seeking hard working and enthusiastic individuals who would like an internship with a film and media organisation. We are a media charity that holds an annual film festival, live events, yearly film screenings and programming, runs industry training, masterclasses and talks, education programmes and community media projects. We will give you an opportunity to work across all our organisational strands - festival, industry and events, community, education, and charity to gain valuable experience in varied roles within the creative industry. You may work as a production assistant on one of our live events or online masterclasses; a researcher or content creator for our social media; a designer of digital assets for one of our programmes or as an event planner for one of our live events. We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic people who are ready for a challenge and want to try their hand at lots of different roles within the media. Internships typically last 3-6 months and involve a time commitment of 6 hours a week, including our weekly team meetings. While working with us you will gain access to our networks and we’ll share opportunities in our organisation and the wider media industry with you. We’ll help you with CV, job application and interview skills. You will be given an open reference and credit for your work, an opportunity to meet others, develop a network of people with a shared passion for film and to communicate your enthusiasm for film! GLIMPSE ULRIKE SWOBODA-OSTERMANN Deep in rural Cornwall, autistic Thomas loves to read. Retreating from a world he finds sensorily challenging, he spends all day buried in books, telling himself stories of heroes and epic quests. When a flying football starts a new friendship with sporty Agnes, Thomas initially finds it hard to relate and let her into his world. This distance between them means that Agnes becomes bored with Thomas’ storytelling, forcing Thomas to use his incredible creativity to make new stories for them both. Through their burgeoning relationship, he learns how to express himself creatively, empathise and learn from others, making his unique experience of the world around him more understandable and manageable.
