We are working with Falmouth and Penryn Welcome Refugees to bring you award-winning film screening of Fremont

A moving and hilarious comedy-drama starring Anaita Wali Zadaand The Bear’s Emmy award-winning Jeremy Allen White. Donya, a young Afghan who moved to Fremont, California after serving as a translator for
the American army, spends her days working at a fortune cookie factory and her nights wide awake battling between her desire to rebuild her life and the overbearing guilt she carries within. In a bid to connect with the world, she sends an unconventional message through a fortune cookie.

Falmouth’s Refugee Week Celebration 2025

Through a programme of arts & culture, sports and educational activities alongside exciting media and creative campaigns, Refugee Week brings people from different backgrounds to connect beyond labels, as well as foster a deeper understanding of why people are displaced, and the challenges people face when seeking sanctuary.
