About
This year, as part of the Cornwall Film Festival we will be celebrating everything experimental about film on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th November, in partnership with CMR Project Space, Redruth.
In 2011, Cornwall Media Resource was rebranded and relaunched as CMR and has since been developed into an artist-led residency, exhibition and project space for established and emerging artists from within Cornwall as well as nationally and internationally, aiming to provide resources and space for experimentation, learning and development through residencies, screenings, workshops, talks, exhibitions and social and skill-sharing events. Jangling Man | Dir James Sharp | 2022 | 1hr 53 mins | UK | Doc / Music | PG
Regarded by many as an influential figure in the history of cassette culture and DIY recording, Martin Newell has been an integral part of the British music scene since the 1970s, and his music career spans over six decades. He’s been produced by XTC’s Andy Partridge and written for the likes of Captain Sensible of The Damned. Though it would be wrong to call him an "unknown", he has never been directly in the limelight.

Food from artist and chef, Mollie Goldstrom
Grab you squash toast with fresh ricotta and mint on homemade sourdough, dressed leaves, plus a non-alcoholic drink or herbal tea - £5 at 6pm
The food will be freshly prepared by artist and chef, Mollie Goldstrom, who creates interactive meals using ingredients locally sourced, grown or foraged. With an interest in the interpretive and exploratory possibilities of cookery, they have produced meals for audiences in a range of non-traditional settings, inviting collaboration and generosity through the preparation and sharing of food. Mollie will be providing food for our events and will be collaborating with artists working in CMR, riffing on themes for workshops and residencies.
